Erma's Soft Sour Cream Sugar Cookies

1 c shortening
2 c sugar
2 eggs
1 c sour cream
1 t vanilla
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
5 c flour
cream: shortening, and sugar. add eggs and vanilla and beat until creamy. in a separate bowl combine flour, salt, and baking soda. knead into wet mixture roll out thick, cut in to desired size and shapes and bake 375 for 7 minutes let cool and frost Frosting 1/2 c butter 6 Tbs milk 3 c powdered sugar 1 tsp lemon extract
